We heard the raindrops on the roof of the gite throughout the night, so we knew that today wasn't going to be the best of days. We made the most of it, however. We stayed at home during the morning, wrote and did a load of wash, and then headed down to Rennes to see the Musee de Bretagne, located in a modern cultural center with a library and a science museum.
On the way back to Saint-Coloumb, we decided to follow the Canal d'Ille et Rance, which travels across Brittany from the Atlantic to the English Channel. There are 47 locks on the canal, each with a canal house nearby.
Eleven of the locks are located near the small town of Hédé, so we got out there and walked our way along the towpath for a look.
