Paris

Last Wednesday, Tibor, Mom, David and I took the train to Paris. After leaving our bags at a hotel near the airport, we took the RER train into town and enjoyed a boat cruise and wonderful dinner.

Mom and Tibor left for El Paso on Thursday morning, and David and I went back into Paris for the rest of the weekend. Our friends John and Sheldon came down from Amsterdam and we did a lot of walking and eating for the next three days. David has written posts about our activities on his blog, but I thought I'd include photographs of some highlights.

The dome of the Galeries Lafayette on Boulevard Haussmann.
The atrium of the Galeries Lafayette.
David and the purveyor of hats at the market in Place Monge.
The beautiful tree at the Place de la Contrescarpe.
Standing outside the Gien Faiencerie store on Rue Jacob after making a purchase of some fabulous china.
David in front of his elementary school in Sceaux, a suburb south of Paris.
Flowers abloom in the Jardins du Luxembourg.
The place where we had lunch on Sunday in the Marais.
