Points of Interest in Tibor's Life

In addition to his school, we visited other places that were part of Tibor's life in Budapest. After lunch on Saturday, we walked by 12 Sip Utca, which was the headquarters of the Judenrat (Jewish Council under the Germans) in 1944 and is currently the headquarters of the Federation of Hungarian Jewish Communities. Tibor had a job that summer delivering documents around the area on a motorbike.

While visiting the VIIIth District, which was Tibor's neighborhood, we found the location of Moses Schaechner and Son at 11 Koszoru Utca. Tibor's grandfather owned a feather factory here.

And on our way to the airport, we drove down Szerdahey Utca, the street where Tibor lived. In the VIIIth District, the street has seen better days.
